My friend, who is an environmental analyst, visited the tar sands of Canada, which would be the source of the Keystone Pipeline, and he remarked on two things:
- the pyramids of sulfur made out of the post-extraction refuse
- the area of forest which has been clearcut, which equals the area of Florida
Makes me sick to think about this destruction….
