Specifically, Santorum, joined by Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), declared his wish that the Senate reject the U.N. Convention on the Rights of Persons With Disabilities — a human rights treaty negotiated during George W. Bush’s administration and ratified by 126 nations, including China, Russia, Iran, Cuba, Syria and Saudi Arabia.

Their concerns, rather, came from the dark world of U.N. conspiracy theories. The opponents argue that the treaty, like most everything the United Nations does, undermines American sovereignty — in this case via a plot to keep Americans from home-schooling their children and making other decisions about their well-being.
The treaty does no such thing; if it had such sinister aims, it surely wouldn’t have the support of disabilities and veterans groups, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Republican senators such as John McCain (Ariz.) and John Barrasso (Wyo.), and conservative legal minds such as Boyden Gray and Dick Thornburgh.
I know you will all be excited to learn that Santorum is open to running for President again in 2016.
Did God give us the right to pursue a good time? Don’t get me wrong—happiness is a wonderful emotion and a state to be desired. But is that what our founders really intended to be the pursuit of our country and its people—to be happy? Let’s put it this way: How would you like your tombstone to read, ‘Here lies [your name]. He/she was happy’? Count me out! Isn’t life supposed to be more significant than that? Let’s face it—many of life’s pleasures are not even good for us, as my waistline constantly reminds me.
Rick Santorum says a strong family nurtures success and those without one end up more likely to be in poverty.
Family structure is important. I mean, whoever heard of a kid of a broken home, with an absent father and single mother doing anything worthwhile.
Someone like that would never be able to become president for example.

Michael Biundo, who managed Rick Santorum’s presidential campaign, is now joining the campaign of Santorum’s former rival Mitt Romney in a key post organizing conservative voters.
The Romney campaign has hired Biundo, a longtime grassroots campaign organizer, as deputy national director of coalitions with a mandate to help unite tea party activists, evangelicals and other conservatives behind the presumptive Republican nominee.
